FAQs

Q. What is a professional organizer (PO) ?

A. A Professional Organizer is someone who can help you assess your situation, face your challenges and find solutions. POs are objective, non-judgemental and are able to break your project down in workable parts and skilled at helping you achieve the results you want.

Q. What are the benefits of getting organized?A. EVERYTHING! You will find yourself having more time, less stress, and it will make your life easier. Your environment plays a huge part on your attitude, your outlook and even your blood pressure levels. When it's in disarray, that will reflect an immediate part on you life. It makes life so much simpler when your environment is organized, clean and easy to find things.

Q. Why you should hire a PO?

A. Do you feel like you are always looking for things? Do you spend money by re-buying things you've lost? Do you feel stressed about the clutter in your home? Are you ready to give yourself a break? If you answered yes, you will benefit from working with a PO. When you hire a PO, you are making a commitment to create a more simple life for yourself.

Q. What is included in a session?
A. Hands on de-cluttering assistance. I bring one large garbage bag and one large donation bag. I will take the 1 donation bag with me after each session. Any other donations I can help you find locations for them. I will also do a follow-up phone or email consultation.

Q. My whole house needs organizing- where do I start?

A. This will depend on where you feel the most stress, or the area that is critical for family or office functioning. I will help you determine where to start if you are unsure.

Q. Does the PO do the project alone or do I help?

A. I work one-on-one with clients in their home. I will help you to organize and declutter, while the decision making is up to you. I will not make you discard any items you wish to keep. I am there to assist you.

Q. Should I clean before you come?

A. No, it's best if I can see the space and how you live and function on a daily basis. I'm here to help you find solutions, there is absolutely zero judgement.

Q. Can my kids be home while we organize?
A. Sure, but remember very young children may slow us down and you're paying for this time with a PO. I recommend that you have a sitter watch younger children. When organizing older children's rooms, they should definitely be there to help and give input.

Q. Does the session price include the cost of organizing products?
A. No, the cost of any products is a separate fee. With that said, we will use existing storage bins etc. that are already in your home. I do not recommend purchasing any containers or bins before our first session.

Q. How do I pay?
A. I accept Cash, Visa, American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Venmo & Zelle.

Q. Are you insured?
A. Yes, I maintain a general liability insurance.

Q. Do you have a cancellation policy?
A. If you cancel more than 48 hours prior to a planned session, a 50% payment is due to hold the following scheduled session.
